Jenny is an experienced Lymphoedema Practitioner after successfully completing post graduate Lymphoedema training in 2009 and advanced Lymphoedema training in 2013.
Previous work experience has been in public and private sectors as well as working for the Cancer Council of WA (CCWA), for 5 years as a senior Lymphoedema Practitioner treating people with cancer-related Lymphoedema.
Lymph = involving the lymphatic system
Oedema = swelling
Jenny has a holistic approach to treating Lymphoedema. It is a chronic condition without a cure but with appropriate interventions it can be improved and managed.
Exercise and improving general mobility is an important part of lymphoedema management as is compression therapy, skin care and Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage. All interventions will be customised to your particular needs.
Jenny has a special interest in cancer-related lymphoedema and exercise-related lymphoedema management as she has had personal experience, having been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. Jenny is deeply committed to providing people with best practice lymphoedema management and raising awareness of this condition.
Jenny’s Lymphoedema Management is recognised by all health funds, Medicare (CDM referrals), DVA and NDIS.
Home Visits are available for those who find it difficult to get to the clinic.
